Hi, I'm Jen! I am an artist based in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds. My work explores wild places, nature and abstract themes using a variety of different media including ink, watercolour, acrylics, photography and poetry.
My Journey
Becoming an artist
I've always loved drawing and making things, but it is only in the last few years that I have realised I AM AN ARTIST. Thanks to the encouragement of a great bunch of creative friends and some inspiring artists that I have met through social media, my perspective has changed. Being an artist is all about the journey: looking at things and seeing in new ways; exploring where you've never been before; and just enjoying everything!
I first began selling cards in early 2023 but since then my main focus has become selling prints and running art workshops for beginners. I offer small group classes and 1:1 sessions. My aim is to encourage those who lack confidence and inspiration. Watercolour can be an unpredictable and exciting medium to work with. Sometimes the unexpected can become something very special indeed.
Through this gentle introduction to painting and drawing many of my students have have gone on to develop their own artist's voice and discovered the joy and satisfaction that comes from spending time with this therapeutic art form.
